A battery that cannot be charged in the past is called a primary battery. Rechargeable batteries are called secondary batteries. Nicard batteries are commonly used for secondary batteries. Ni-Cd (nickel cadmium) and Ni-Mh (nickel metal hydride) batteries commonly contain nickel. These batteries have a memory effect. The memory effect is explained next, and the lithium-ion battery is said to make a positive pole with lithium oxide and a negative pole with carbon. What is the memory effect?

In a battery made of nickel, a phenomenon in which OH drops and attaches from NiOH used as an active material transfers charges, which is the electrical flow of charging and discharging. However, since lithium-ion batteries do not have a memory phenomenon, the lifespan of the lithium-ion battery is almost unaffected even if the user arbitrarily recharges and uses it according to the surrounding environment.
